Congratulations to our Teacher of the Year nominees:  Phyllis Brady, Denise Connelly, and Ann Lovick.  They were nominated by their peers for their outstanding work with our students each year.  Our finalist to represent Hope Elementary School is Phyllis Brady!  We are proud to have Mrs. Brady represent our school!

Purchase items from the Book Fair all week long!  The Book Fair is open 15 minutes before school, during recess, and after school until 3 PM.

Location: Multi-Use Room - Valley Middle School

You can tour the campus during the day with your student on 3/24/10 at 8:30 AM. The tour starts in the VMS multi-use room and ends at 10:30 AM.

If you don't live in the Valley Middle School boundary (which is most of our students), then you need to turn in an Intradistrict request before the end of March.

The Hope Spring Festival "Sock Hop" is scheduled for Saturday, March 27Th 1pm -5pm.  We are looking for volunteers to join the planning committee.  Please contact Michelle Cooper at mlrgodefroy@yahoo.com or (760) 213-3744 if you are interested.

The 2009 California Fitness Result were recently released and Hope 5th grade students had the highest percentage of all Carlsbad elementary students in five of the six healthy fitness zones (Aerobic Capacity, Body Composition, Trunk Extensor Strength, Upper Body Strength, and Flexibility). 90% of our students met at least 5 out of 6 fitness criteria - highest out of all elementary schools.  Way to go Hope Hawks!  Let's keep a great thing going!  Be strong  •  be healthy.
