Thank you Bridget Nichols!!!
Wellness Week was a great opportunity to reinforce good nutrition and exercise. Students, parents, and staff reported how much they enjoyed the activities. The assembly with Doug Crandell got everyone moving and grooving to his tunes that support healthy nutrition. Highlights of the week included the Garden Scavenger Hunt, Fear Factor Taste Test, and a nutrition comparison activity. At the end of the week, each student was offered a free bottle of water during lunch to support the importance of staying hydrated.
Parents have provided positive feedback on the program and report their children are trying new foods at home.
Special thanks to Bridget Nichols for coordinating the event and doing something good to support our healthy choices program. Mrs. Nichols put together all the activities and materials for each day of the week. We also appreciate Hope teachers, Mrs. Jansen and Mrs. Kaplowitz for previewing the supplemental classroom materials the teachers used in lessons throughout the week. We also appreciate the support of Trader Joe's for providing two hundred bottles of water for our students.
Be healthy. Be smart.
